How do you pronoun the vowel "a" ?: /æ/ , /ʌ /, /ɑ:/

En inglés existen tres sonidos corr pondientes a  nuestra “a” que son: /æ/ “ash”, /ʌ /wedge”, /ɑ:/ “long ei”.



/æ/ “ash”: lamp, flag, man, happy, ant, cat, fat, black, mat, acrobat, stands, hand, sad, bag, hat, magic, bat, match, ban, ham.

Aquí tienes frases para practicar estos sonidos:

A happy ant

A fat cat on the black mat

The acrobat stands on his hand.

/ʌ /“wedge”:hut, nut, sun, bus, run, duck, Dutch, dust, up, bucket, mug, cup, cut but, much, bun, hum, bubble, butterfly.

/ɑ:/ “long ei”: park, dark, car, heart, farm, fast, jar, Bart, March, barn, harm, star, shark, guitar, hard.
